2008/2009 Campaign

"All Aboard the Live United Agency Train!" is the theme for this year's campaign and we want YOU to jump on board with us!

According to this year's Campaign Chairman, Leon Harris of Bank Plus, "Our main focus of this year's campaign is to bring awareness to the needs of all of our 17 agencies and their 60+ programs. It will take all of us working together to raise the money needed to support the Partner Agencies and it is our goal to ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to contribute."

While United Way of East Mississippi is not stating an official goal, Campaign Director, Janie Brown stated that, "We must raise at least the $810,000 we raised last year so that we do not have to cut agencies or their current allocations. The problem is that everyone of our agencies have had an increase in the numbers of clients served, so of course their costs have gone up this year. We must raise as much money as possible to help them continue to serve this community." This year's campaign montra is "Give a $1 More". If you are currently giving, give a $1, $2, or $5 more. If you are not currently giving, start by contributing $1, $2 or $5 per pay period. It takes all of us giving a little and that will add up to alot!
