Every year, United Way of East Ms and West AL partners with the Meridian Letter Carriers Association
to promote the "Can-A-Thon". Through this partnership, the community
is asked to place canned goods in their mailboxes on a designated
day. The letter carriers then pick up the canned goods, take them to
a distribution point and distributes the canned goods to various
agencies that provide emergency food services to children in the
community. This year Wesley House and the Salvation Army received
