| Why United Way? | ||||||
|
When you give to United Way, you give to your community. It’s that simple. The money raised here stays here. Your money goes to support 16 agencies that serve this community. From family counseling to domestic violence; from child and protective services to fostering grandparents; these agencies are able to serve your community better because of your United Way contributions. United Way’s independent board is comprised of local business and community leaders who volunteer their time to monitor and distribute your contributions, ensuring the most beneficial impact in your community. We serve 4 counties in East Mississippi and West Alabama, while our partner agencies serve as many as 9 counties in our area. They are Lauderdale, Newton, Clarke, Kemper, Neshoba, Scott, Winston, Leake Counties in Mississippi, and Choctaw County in Alabama. We don’t ask a few people to give a lot, we ask a lot of people to give a little. All it takes is one hour’s pay per month to make a measurable difference. Thank you for your support! |
